Tourism, World Heritage & Resilience - Save the date

The relationship between World Heritage and tourism is undergoing profound transformations. This seminar will explore how sustainability, resilience, community participation and innovative governance approaches are reshaping the management of World Heritage sites in the context of contemporary environmental and social challenges.

Bringing together researchers, heritage professionals and site managers, the event will provide a space for dialogue on the future of World Heritage tourism, focusing on two key themes: socio-environmental sustainability and governance of World Heritage tourism, and heritage resilience in the face of socio-environmental transformations.

The seminar will examine how tourism can contribute to the long-term vitality of heritage places, support local communities and foster more sustainable and resilient approaches to conservation and development.
